Facilities

J. Ray Shute Community Center is located minutes from Downtown Monroe and behind Monroe Middle School. This facility provides many after-school activities and community events. This community center provides many recreational opportunities to our community, including a gymnasium, a meeting room, a game room, a picnic shelter, and a playground.

Hours of Operation

• Monday through Friday, noon to 8 pm
• Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm (Open Gym), 9 am to 10 pm (Reservations)
• Sunday, 1 pm to 5 pm (Open Gym), 1 pm to 6 pm (Reservations)

Beyond the Bell After-School Enrichment Program

Beyond the Bell provides enrichment programs to children after school. Kids will be exposed to cultural activities through community partnerships in a fun and safe environment. Activities include theatre groups, arts and crafts, gym activities, mentorships, food service, and much more.

Teen Programs

J. Ray Shute Community Center provides a wide variety of teen programming. This facility provides a safe and fun place for teens to utilize. Programs are designed to benefit teens by providing activities that are not only fun but also assist them with planning for their bright futures!
