James Vesce

Operations Supervisor

James Vesce, Operations Supervisor has worked for over thirty years as a director and producer of community-based, university, and professional theatre and dance. His work has been performed at New York venues including the Actor’s Playhouse, the Kraine Theater, Teatro LATEA, the International Dance Festival at the Duke on 42nd Street, The Joyce Soho, and The Kitchen, at Jacob’s Pillow in Beckett, Massachusetts, and in Boston at the Strand Theatre, the Institute for Contemporary Art, the Lyric Stage, the World Trade Center, the Shubert Theater, and at New WORLD Theater. He has also composed music featured at the National Black Theatre Festival in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. James is former Chair and Associate Professor of Directing in the Department of Theatre at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. He is thrilled to bring his interest and expertise in performing arts and community-based cultural programming to the Dowd Center Theatre and the city of Monroe.

Paul Riznyk

Technical Specialist

Paul Riznyk, Technical Specialist, was born and raised in New York City, where he graduated from Queens College, City University of New York, with a degree in Media Studies and Communication.  He began his career as a stage carpenter, working for The Classical Theatre of Harlem as well as freelancing with numerous independent theatre companies.  His skill set was developed through backstage experience in theatre, concerts, art exhibitions, festivals, New York Fashion Week, and with regular positions at the Baruch Performing Arts Center and The New 42nd Street Studios.  Preferring Main Street to 42nd Street, Paul hopes to share his appreciation of the arts with the community of Monroe. 

Lynn Price

Patron Services

Lynn Price, Patron Services, is a Union County native. Her background is in education as well as sales.  Lynn has worked in both the corporate and non-profit arenas, including 10 years with the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, as the Rentals/Booking Manager. While at the BPAC she supervised the rentals of resident companies and worked hand in hand with outside promoters to bring a wide variety of entertainment to the theatre, including performances by Tony Bennett, Gladys Knight, and Michael McDonald.  She has also worked with many events companies in the region and assisted with launching the performances of startup groups.  Lynn is excited to be a part of Monroe’s growing arts community.
