Ray Greene

Ray Greene is a singer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and lead vocalist for Santana. He has performed with several of the biggest names in the fields of Pop and R&B, including Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Rick James, the Isley Brothers, and Tower of Power, to name a few.  The legendary Maya Angelou recruited Greene to perform a cappella renditions of her favorite inspirational hymns to open an engagement at the Boston Opera House. His Gospel releases Songs of Hope, Inspiration and Joy and Heaven Bound garnered much critical and commercial success. His album Stay will be released in the Spring of 2023, and features songs he wrote and produced specifically for the styles of Soul/R&B music. He will embark on his first ever solo tour to Europe to support the release of the recording.

Ray’s music and voice have been heard regularly on the daytime soap operas “The Young and the Restless” and “One Life to Live.” He is the featured performer on the HBO documentary Legacy, which was nominated for a Grammy award. His voice has been featured on commercials for Converse sneakers (with basketball superstar Magic Johnson), ESPN, Cadillac, Bose Speakers, Fox Television, and Walt Disney Productions.  Ray received a degree in Music Performance from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music.

The Capital Cities Chorale

In 1975 the group Expressions was organized as a choral ensemble to perform highly stylized gospel music, composed & directed by Seward T. Hunter. Home-based at Bible Way Church in Washington, D.C., Expressions included members of The Smallwood E. Williams Chorale, directed by Minister Raymond A. Brown.  In the late 90’s the group was reorganized as the Capital Cities Chorale for special concert appearances in the capital cities of Boston, Washington, D.C., and Richmond, VA.  Ray Greene was one of the featured members of this new group along with other singers from these cities. Today, group members live across the country, but have reunited to perform & express to others their love of music and each other.  We hope you will enjoy and be inspired by our music and performance as much as we will enjoy presenting it to you.

The event is finished.
