The City of Monroe’s Water Resources Department will begin a force main installation project along Stafford Street Extension October 1, weather permitting.
This project will consist of crews installing approximately 6,000 linear feet of 20-inch force main between 2003 Stafford Street Extension and 2407 Stafford Street Extension to serve the existing Stewarts Creek Pump Station.
All of the force main will be installed along an existing sanitary sewer right-of-way and within NCDOT right-of way.
Construction activities are expected to begin October 1 and conclude by February 2025, weather permitting.
No road closures will be necessary, but drivers may experience temporary closures of one lane.
