Request a Group Visit
Daily group admission is limited. To accommodate more groups, we may allow visits on Tuesdays on a case-by-case basis.
Request forms must be submitted at least two weeks before your requested visit date.
Group Numbers & Pricing
We offer discounted admission to groups purchasing 15 paid tickets or more. Groups must be booked in advance. Discounts for groups are not provided on the day of or at the door.
- Group tickets cost $7 per person plus tax. A minimum of 15 people must be in the group.
- Guests under two years old are free and do not count toward the 15-person minimum.
- Note: There must be a ratio of one chaperone/adult to no more than 10 children. Chaperones, including parent volunteers, must be prepared to enforce all Monroe Science Center rules. Children must always be supervised while in the Monroe Science Center. The chaparron guide can be used for groups with more children than adults.
Extra guests will pay the full price of $10 plus tax at the door.
We will require a final count 14 days before your visit. Group numbers cannot be changed on the day of the visit, and no refunds will be issued due to guests who do not show up in your group.
Payment must be received before your group may enter the Monroe Science Center. If payment is not received before your scheduled arrival date or on the day of the visit, the Monroe Science Center reserves the right to cancel your group visit, and the group rate will no longer apply.
All guests not paid for before the group's arrival will be charged a general admission price of $10 each at check-in.
We currently take cash, all major credit cards, and checks as payment.
Food Policy
No food or drinks are allowed in the Science Center. Please use the outdoor space included with admission.
We are unable to refrigerate any food items.
Upon Arrival
Download the facility map (PDF) and share it with your group to help them navigate the museum.
Once your group has arrived at the Monroe Science Center, please send one person to check in before unloading your group.
There is designated bus parking in our lower parking lot. Unless you have group members who require lifts or wheelchairs, please unload after parking instead of unloading directly in front of the main entrance. This causes traffic and safety issues for others.
A staff member will do a group greeting to review the museum rules and expectations with your group members.
Please review the museum rules with your group members before your visit. Groups violating any policies may be asked to leave, depending on the severity of the situation. The rules include:
- No eating or drinking in the museum.
- No running. Please walk at all times.
- Shoes must be worn at all times.
- Please use the sensory room as intended.
- Keep exhibit items within the designated exhibit spaces, picking up all items before moving on to the next exhibit.
- Be respectful of museum staff and volunteers, as well as other visitors.
- The Monroe Science Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
After the greeting, you will be given the appropriate number of wristbands. No one will be admitted without a wristband. If you have extra guests who did not prepay, they will be required to pay the regular admission price.
If your group is not arriving together, please note that no one will be admitted until the contact/leader has checked the group in and received their wristbands for distribution.
